STEM HANDS
2024 Summer Camp
Location: Georgia State University Atlanta, GA
STEM Hands is an annual summer camp for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing high school students interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). This camp is a collaborative effort between the Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, and the Georgia State University College of Education & Human Development.
During the week-long residential camp, high school students across the state take part in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and learning opportunities throughout the city of Atlanta. Previous activities have been collaborations with the Delta Flight Museum, Georgia Aquarium, and Centers for Disease Control, as well as hands-on activities including 3D design and printing hosted by Georgia State University.
